Welcome to Log Haven . . .
(Click on photos to enlarge them.)

If you love the warm, cozy feeling of being surrounded by wood...come spend a few days at Log Haven Bed & Breakfast. Log Haven is a large log home nestled among towering trees in Pennsylvania's beautiful Laurel Highlands. (The land it sits on was once owned by Ron's great-great-grandfather.)

View of Log Haven Bed & Breakfast Common Room to leftDespite its quiet, secluded location, guests are only a few miles from the many activities at Seven Springs, a walk to a waterfall in Laurel Hill State Park, or hiking/biking on the Great Allegheny Passage. And Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob are both just a short drive away.

About half of our home is devoted to the bed & breakfast, which has a separate guest entrance. There are just two bedrooms in the B&B portion, so it's never crowded and guests are assured of privacy and personalized service.

A large guest "common" room has cable-TV with a DVD player, stereo, relaxing glider rockers, reading materials, and board games. If you enjoy jigsaw puzzles, there's usually one "in progress." A refrigerator has complimentary soft drinks, and fresh popcorn is as easy as the touch of a microwave button. Some guests say they'll return just to get another plate of Betty's homemade chocolate chip cookies or peanut butter fudge – special treats that welcome all guests at check-in. (There's also high-speed wireless Internet if you need to stay "connected.")

View of Log Haven Bed & Breakfast Common Room to RightBreakfast, served at a mutually agreeable time between 7:30 and 9 a.m. in the Guest Common Room, features a hot-from-the-oven main entree, home-baked goodies, homemade jam, toast, fresh fruit, cereals, juice, milk, coffee, and tea.

Whether you want a peaceful hideaway for a few days or a base of operation for exploring the many sights and scenes in the Laurel Highlands, we're here to make your visit memorable. Seven Springs and Hidden Valley ski resorts are only minutes away, as are covered bridges, antique shops, hiking trails, cross-country skiing, biking trails, golf courses, several state parks, trout streams, and much more. We can provide directions to all the major local attractions.
